Mohanlal's Snehaveedu / Ammukutty Ammayude Ajayan: First Review

Snehaveedu or ‘Ammukuttiyammayude Ajayan’ I am actually confused what is the original name of this film. I am still confused.. but got to see it today...

Anyhow the role of Ajayan is done by Mohanlal and Ammukuttiyamma by Sheela. The star cast of this movie include Innocent, Mamukoya, Biju Menon,Ashokan, KPAC Lalitha,Lena and Urmila Unni. As it is a film directed by Sathyan Anthikkad it is surely a family entertainer as we have seen before.Mohanlal is doing a film with Sathyan Anthikkad three years after their previous venture, ‘Ennathe Chintha Vishayam’.. Mohanlal, Sheela, Padmapriya are playing the lead roles.

Mohanlal is playing the role of a framer in this film.I think this is actress Lena's second project with Sathyan Anthikkad after Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal. Its music is done Ilaiyaraaja.

Now for the actual review:
An Excellent movie.. it has very good comedy scenes.. It has a breath of fresh air however there is no lack of comedy.. Lalettan has done a good job with his situational comedies without any comedian.. All the actors have done a great job in the film.. the first half was exceptional.. The climax also good like the name of the film..

Shahrukh Khan's RaOne : The Hindi Superhero film

Hi Guys..
I was seeing the way SRK was marketing RaOne and I just cant believe how much effort he is taking into promoting. The movie has been in the news for some time now. It is set to be released this October (2011).

SRK, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal plays the lead roles in the film. Arjun Rampal plays the role of RaOne, while SRK dawns the character of GOne. The film is set to be released in 3D as well. It is said to be the most expensive film done in Bollywood till date. Some people are comparing the film to the Tamil film "Enthiran", which had superstar Rajinikanth playing the lead role. The sound track was composed by Vishal-Shekhar. The lyrics by Atahar Pranchi, Vishal Dadlani and Kumaar. Akon also features in two songs of the film.

SRK has always been know to promote his films in the best possible way. He is one of the best marketers of his films. He has made deals to make Video games, comic series to market the film and reach the audience. King Khan had made use of twitter, youtube to promote the film. The release of the films soundtrack was also done in a very big way. SRK has been making cameos on StarTV to promote the film.

I hope this film makes it big.. wish SRK all the best and hope this film breaks all Box office records.

I just saw the add of Nissan Sunny and was really impressed with the ad they put. The car has been in the world market for a long time. What I have heard is that this is the 10th version of the Nissan Sunny.

Nissan India has launched the new sedan Sunny in India. The word 'Sunny' according to Nissan depicts sun god, which also means good beginning in the morning. It will be available in petrol and diesel model in India. Nissan Sunny is a premium saloon car, which has been designed at Nissan Design and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. It would be sold worldwide.

Fast Facts About Nissan Sunny
It is available in petrol, diesel model will be launched later. The base variant would be priced at Rs. 5.78 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi). The Petrol engine has a displacement of 1498cc. I just saw a news about one of my childhood hero's... I am sure he would be your hero too.. Sachin Tendulkar.

The news was that he had signed a deal with a British Publisher, to write his Autobiography. News is that it would be released soon and would be available for us to read. I just can't wait for this book to come about. I am sure it would describe his whole life.. his love for cricket.. his love of cars.. and so on.. Wish to get a copy of it myself..

FORCE : John Abraham's Bollywood Action Thriller

Hi All,

Hope all of you still remember the super hit Tamil Film of Suriya and Jyothika, "Kaakha Kaakha". Then "Force" is the remake of the same film. It is a story of a cop chasing some gangster and killing them at sight. He thinks that family would be a hindrance to his job and likes being single.

The lead roles in the film is played by John Abraham and Genelia D'Souza. The film is slated to release on September 30, 2011.

John is looking awesome in this movie with his macho looks.

The music of "Kaakha Kaakha" the Tamil film was a super hit, the songs such as "Uyirin Uyirae" still rings in my ears. The music of the film "Force", had been done by  Harris Jayaraj and Lalit Pandit. The lyrics have been written by Javed Akhtar. The soundtrack for the film had been released on 29 August, 2011.

I hope this film lives up to the expectations and reaches the level of success the original film had.

Idea Star Singer Winner

Hi All..
Today I am going to post an update regarding the Idea Star Singer - Grand Finale. As you would all have already seen on the television that the finalist are IMMANUEL, KALPANA, AKHIL, ANTONY and MIRDULA. . Immanuel and Kalpana had entered into the finale without the last round elimination, as they both were the top two contestants. Akil was very close with respect to the total marks. Antony had the least points of the lot, however after the last round of eliminations Athira, Deepak and Shabeer had unfortunately been eliminated. They are all winners but there can be only one Idea Star Singer winner in season-5.

The grand finale is set for tomorrow, hope all would be watching the same as I would be. Whoever be the winner, lets just enjoy their talent and see the future of Malayalam music unfold in front of us.

Sevens : Nadia Moidu

Hi all..

I think I am watching way too much TV these days.. any how I think I have seen some good programs and were able to understand some real life character of certain actors. Out of the many, one person that has impressed me was Nadia Moidu. I am sure all of you would be remembering her for the roles she has played in the films such as "Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu". She had made her debut in the year of 1985, and featured prominently in the next three years. In 1988, she married and later settled abroad with her family. She has two daughter's aged 15 years and 10 years. She currently resides with her family in Mumbai.

She has made her come back in Malayalam film recently, and has played an important role in the Kunchacko Boban starer, "Sevenes". I am not sure why the name is spelled that way... Any how, Nadia has played an important character in the film.. she plays the role of  a police officer.

Sevens tells the story of seven football players and how there life takes a spin after a certain incident.. The film is a good watch... the cast of the film is mainly the young stars of the Malayalam film industry.. Apart from Kunchacko.. Asif Ali, Rejith Menon, Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Rima Kallingal, Bhama.. and host of others too.. Their performances have been good... and can give the super stars of the industry run for their money..

Now coming to Nadia Moidu, I had watched an interview of hers and came to know some interesting things about her.. She says that.. "I am a disciplinarian.." and that she is strict with her kids, however giving them the freedom to make their own decisions. She tells that since it is her come back to the Malayalam film industry, she has made a conscious effort to pick only good scripts and good characters. She goes on to say that actors in their middle age are generally offered stereo-type roles, and she does not wish to do those kind of roles. She say that she gets support from her family, which is her driving force. She told that during the shooting of her film, her mom stays over to watch over her children. This helps to reduce the stress on her husband as well.

I was really impressed.. the other thing that all people should take away from a person like her is that, even after these many years she seems to be really fit and health conscious. She tells in her interview that she follows a strict regime to stay healthy and that she exercises regularly. What I would say is that we all should do the same, whatever job we do we should find time to for doing exercise. Any way.. I for sure would be seeing what she is up to in the coming years..

A quick review on Asuravithu : Asif Ali

Guys.. 
I was just watching the tele right now and saw a preview of Young Star and upcoming super star of Malayalam film; Asif Ali's new film "Asuravithu"... I was really impressed with the picturization.. So I thought that I would write a little something about it...

What I must first say about the film is that, it has no connection to the yesteryear film "Asuravithu" of Nazir sir... except for the name that is.. :)

Asif plays the lead role of the character called "Don Bosco"... the film also has Samvritha Sunil playing a main character along side him.. Asif has been having a good run of films after the success of films such as "Salt N' Pepper" and "Violin". This films is written and directed by A. K. Sajan. 


In this film, Asif is playing the role of a soft-spoken youngster, who lives in a seminary and getting ready to become a priest. He later comes across a certain incident that changes the life of the character for ever.. The young actor says that his character has various shades.. and this as an actor was a very good challenge.. 

Biju Menon, Kalabhavan Mani, Vijay Raghavan, Vijay Kumar, Nivin Pauly and Seema G.Nair; play the roles of the other important characters in the film.. The film is all set for a November 2011 release.. The film is a family-oriented action film..

Idea Star Singer 2011 Review

Hi Guys..

Today I want to post an update regarding the very popular Malayalam reality show on Asianet "Idea Star Singer". I was waiting so long to post on this, however I wanted the show to reach some kind of stage before posting. I feel that the right time is now.. and hence sharing my views and opinion..

The show has been running for the last 5 seasons.. and its reception has been great. The first reality show on Malayalam television, however was "Super Star" which was aired on another channel. But the show had slowly diminished in popularity, and they are trying to revive it this season.

Anyhow, going on to our main topic on Idea Star Singer.. I had been watching the show for a very long time now, and I have mixed opinion on the judging etc. Renjini Haridas has been doing a great job, hosting the show. Hopefully, we can see her hosting the next season as well. As of now, there are 8 contestants left namely: Antony, Mridula, Immanuel, Kalpana, Akhil, Deepak, Shabir and Athira..

Out of all the 8, there are some real strong competitors.. I personally like Antony, Mridula and Immanuel. To be frank, Mridula and Akhil seem to be headed for the win. However as seen in Idea Star Singer 2010- season 4, the final result was not very correct. Sreejith should have actually won, however Joby was awarded the win. Its not that I have anything against Joby, but the result was biased.. and I am anticipating similar kind of situation this time as well..

I am not sure who will win this time.. however I am expecting a great show at the "Idea Star Singer - Grand Finale" , which we be held on September 24th. Hoping for a fair game..

So who do you think will win this time...Mridula? Akil? or someone else.. Please share your opinions and comments...  

Malayalam Film Industry's new Cheer Boy: Asif Ali

I was just watching to a song on youtube "Aadhayamaai" from the album "HimaMazhayil" sung by none other than Vineeth Sreenivasan.. I was amazed to see Asif Ali as the model in it..damn!! he was looking awesome then itself.. 

I just done a quick google on Asif and came to know that the appearance in this album song was one of the first that he did.. I also came to know that his first movie was "Ritu".. Actually over the last couple of weeks I had watched a couple of films of his.. such as the hit films "traffic" and "Salt & Pepper"..

Asif has been doing a lot of films these days.. some cameos and some full length characters.. He as done negative roles as well.. but the one thing I like about him is that he is down to earth and gives 100% at what he is doing.. his efforts reflect in his acting and it is getting applauds from all corners of the industry.. this was evident from the awards he had received for playing negative role in the film "Apoorvaragam".. He has done over 10 films and has a list of new ones to be released soon..


What I have understood so far about this young lad is that he is so "raw".. just like one of us.. when you see him on chat shows, you feel like he is like a friend of yours chatting away passing time.. he has told that he has always dreamed of being an actor, and when the chance came his way.. he took it with arms wide open..


In one of his interviews, he mentions that his first crush was when he was in 9th grade and his next crush was in his 11th and 12 th grade, however he was not able to express his love for the girl due to fear of rejection.. He goes on to say that at present he is not looking to getting married at least for the next 3-4 years, as he wants to concentrate on his first love.. acting and films.. His advice to budding actors is that "Never only look at the renumeration.. but for the role and character.."


The one thing I would like to take way from his character is that, he does not like mobile/phones.. he prefers to be surfing on the net when he gets spare time rather than chat on the mobile. He is a self-proclaimed Non-Vegetarian and tells that even for the Onam Sadhya he needs fish or fish fry to eat.. 


I personally like this new cheer boy in the Malayalam film industry and think that he has a long way ahead... wishing him the best of luck for his future..

Vidhya Unni doctor Love Break

Vidhya Unni the younger sister of the former malayalam actress Divya Unni, has followed in the foot-steps of her elder sister. She has got her first break in the Kunchako Boban starer film "Doctor Love". She plays the role of an independent college goer in the film. Vidhya is doing her final year Engineering, and plans to complete it on a high note. She plans to take her acting as they come.. she states "Let's see if good scripts come my way in the meantime."

Her acting in the film "Dr. Love" has received mixed reviews. She plays the role of Manju in the film.

Movie Review: Doctor Love (Malayalam)

Guys.. today I want to give you all a quick review of Kunchacko Boban's new film "Dr. Love". First of all, let me  introduce the cast: Kunchacko, Bhavana, Ananya, Manikuttan, Suraj, Salim Kumar, Innocent, Vidhya Unni and a host of other actors. This film is director Biju's debut and to tell you frankly he has done a nice job.. I was actually impressed by the posters and promos of the film..

Being a chackochi fan couldn't have missed this one.. I was expecting the film to be on similar lines to the Hollywood film Hitch, however to my pleasant surprise it was not but surely inspired by Hitch and Partner.. Even though the film is based on campus love story, it has a breath of fresh air to it.. there are some bits of drama in the film that could have been avoided.

Chackochen plays the lead role as the Dr. Love, who comes to this college to help settle a love matter.. going on to become the love doctor or consultant for all in the college.. Bhavana throws him a challenge, which becomes the main plot of the film..

The songs in the film are wonderful and I am almost sure that everyone would surely like them.. the cinematography and direction are great.. Chackochen and Bhavana was at their usual best.. credit must go to the supporting cast as well.. and one more thing is that Asif Ali plays a a cameo role.. giving a teaser about the movie..

Hmmm.. I must say.. Doctor Love has made me love the film.. hope he does the same to you..

Pranayam - Mohanlals 300th Movie

The movie "Pranayam" is superstar Mohanlal's 300th movie. This movie is written and directed by Blessy. Anupam Kher and Jayaprada from Bollywood are playing major roles in the film. Some of our friends had watched this movie during their Onam vacations, and told us that this is a good movie. The film Pranayam is a triangular love story of yesteryear's, in which our Superstar is playing the hero. He is having two get ups in this film and is said to have acted very well in this film.

Chimmi Chimmi Song From Malayalam Film Urmi

I really like the song from the malayalam movie "Urmi" chimmi chimmi.The film stars Prithviraj, Arya, Prabhudeva, Vidya Balan, Genelia, Tabu,Nithya menon,Jagathy Sreekumar.While listening to an interview of youth icon Prithviraj, I got to know that it was a 20 crore budget film.When I first heard this song on TV,I really liked the song, music and the lyrics.Next time when it came on Television I made my family hear the song,all liked the song and its pictureization, we recorded it on our blackberry phone.the lyrics are easy to understand and really very catchy.This song is sung by singer Manjari Babu.Lyrics were written by lyrics were by kaithapuram, Rafeeq Ahammed and Engandiyur Chandrasekharan.Electronic music is not used in urmi songs.After some days facebook accounts were flooded with videos and news that deepak dev copied the music from some other language.Anyway many people like the song:) Here you go, the lyrics this beautiful and romantic song..
